On May 21, 2024, Zhejiang University celebrated its 127th anniversary and successfully concluded the “7th Zhejiang University Alumni Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition Zhejiang Regional Finals”.
Raysea? Technology’s cutting-edge “VCSEL laser chip – the core component of the intelligent information world” project stood out on this special day, securing a direct entry to the global finals. VCSEL chips are essential components of the intelligent information world, offering advantages such as high speed, low power consumption, and small size with broad application prospects in communication, sensing, and display fields.
Raysea Technology aims to become a global leader in photonic chip technology by developing VCSEL chips with independent intellectual property rights through deep technological understanding and continuous innovation. The company has already launched domestically released chips with next-generation car-mounted high-power density epitaxial design and advanced processes to further solidify its leading position in car-mounted applications.
Raysea Technology is a global leader in VCSEL (vertical cavity surface emitting laser) chips based in Yuhang District, Hangzhou. Founded by Zhejiang University Photonics alumni in 2017 with initial investment from Sunny Industrial Fund.
